What happened, in order.
Canoochee River RV Resort, LLC is formed in Georgia.

The engineers survey the Fortner Road land for Matthew Moghaddam.
Evangelina and Matthew Moghaddam buy 990 Fortner Road for $1.1 million.
The City of Metter files the project with the state as "Fortner Road Mixed Use," about 100 acres.
The regional commission sends Metter its review. It says the industrial part may need another look once its plans exist.
The engineers pitch a thin strip of land to stay in the county.
The county says no: its rules don't allow it.
After asking the county's lawyer, the county says no to the second try.
The engineer's plans for the whole 100 acres say "Light Industrial."
The owners ask Metter to take in the Fortner Road lot.
The engineers pitch a wider 11.5-acre strip, and say the Leslie Road lot is next.
The county says yes to the strip and asks for an official survey map.
The Fortner Road survey is officially recorded.
Metter formally notifies the county and sets a September 14 hearing with "commercial" zoning.
The engineers send the county the survey map that splits off the strip.
County commissioners table the data center question. A local news site reports the Industrial Authority is courting a data center near the airport and I-16.
Metter City Council passes the first vote. The mayor starts a data center task force. The County Administrator reveals two data center inquiries.
County commissioners hear from the public and table the data center moratorium again.
The Candler County Industrial Authority asks Metter to rezone 25 acres on Fortner Road, off Hiawatha Street, from homes to light industrial. What's in it.
County commissioners vote unanimously to drop the moratorium from their agendas. The county announces a rezoning (PUD) application for the potential data center site near the airport will be up for review once its filing fee is paid, and files it with the state as a data center campus, DRI #4846.
The PUD application, dated October 2, is posted on the county's hub with its building design and site plan, and the filing fee has been paid. What's in it.
Metter City Council hears the first reading of that rezoning. City staff write that there is “no development proposal at this time” and that it is “not in compliance with the comprehensive plan.”
The City sends the traffic estimate for it: about 723 weekday trips for a building of about 257,000 square feet, with the business type not named.
The PUD application: a 30-day regional review with no vote, then a Planning & Zoning hearing, then the commissioners vote. Speakers must sign up at least 7 days before each hearing.
The Metter City Council's second and final vote. Date not announced yet.
